Do I need to notify hotel in advance if I am traveling with a physically-challenged guest?

Yes, by state law all hotels are required to offer handicapped rooms for the convenience of physically-challenged guests, but note that rooms are limited making it imperative that the hotel is notified in advance, esp. in busy season when availability is scarce. Many hotels allow the client to book a handicapped room via the system as a part of the inventory, however, if not displayed place all requests in the notes/comments portion of your reservation. Special requests are not guaranteed and will be honored depending on availability at check-in, but all hotels do their very best to accommodate the request in this regard.
